Shakespeare is the quintessential British author, and there have been numerous adaptions of his work. Anything by Kenneth Branagh is good - especially Henry V.

Like you, I love British movies. Based on the movies you mentioned, I assume you like period movies. Perhaps you will like the at least one of following (in no particular order). I like them all!
Howard's End
Wings of a Dove
Mansfield Park
Passage to India
Remains of the Day
Gosford Park
A Room With a View
Maurice*
*This movie is a bit shocking to some; Hugh Grant's first movie, but features a gay theme. (Not that anyone is judging here, but thought it should be mentioned.)
Hope you will try some of these...Happy viewing!

four weddings and a funeral, not really that old and if you like hugh grant you might enjoy it, kind of a romantic comedy, if you like gangster types then try, lock, stock and two smoking barrels, or snatch.
