I have a good paying job, but it isn't what I want to do with my life. It's very easy to say, "Just do something else", but trying to find that something else and financially surviving are two different things. Is anyone else going through this? Any suggestions on how to gather my goals and focus?

i went through this a few years ago. you need to set aside some spare time to explore other other options. try traveling to places you are interested in or going a professional association or meetup for possible other careers. it took me a while but i found that i was happy where i was living but i just needed to start preparing for my next career once i spent the time to experiment with various career options and figure out which one interested me the most. even though i have not left my other career yet, i enjoy it alot more since i have my new career interest in my life as well as a hobby for now.

this might help as well...

Figure out everything you know how to do for a job, write a resume, and start sending it out on Monster or something to the city your planning to move to.
