it will run great then i shut it off and try to start it and it's back out of time I move the belt start it up it runs great for a day or two shut it off and it's back out of time any suggestions would be appreciated

Replace the timing belt. If it breaks it could cause major damage. You should not be able to move the belt, if you can it is slipping

Replace the belt and the tensioner. Check the idler for a bad bearing or wabble.

I would guess that your timing belt needs replacing. Its probably loose just enough to skip a few teeth every once in a while.

your sunbird has a belt.check the belt to see if any cogs are off of it and you might check the tensioner also.but it sounds like you need a new belt.
