I went to a Catholic School. I liked it there. High School isn't so bad, and I'd say the shift from Elemementry to Jr High is worse than the shift from Jr High to High School. The schoolwork doesn't feel any harder, the main difference is that the teachers are always telling you about COLLEGE. Try a little bit of everything, some sports, some science, some history, some religion, some music, some theater, some math, some everything even if its just for a little while and you quit later. The main "goal" of High School is to make yourself look as good as possible when you send your transcripts off.
And try taking an AP course! Those can give you college credit and they are not always as hard as you think!

Well, truthfully you can either love HS or hate it, it's all about who you are. I went to a public school so I can't speak too much on a private school. But what I can say is that there is going to be an in-crowd and a crowd for loosers. Which ever one you fit into is fine as long as you're happy. Please, I advise you to be yourself and never try to fit-in where you don't get in, bcuz it will be so obvious to other people and you'll still be treated badly. But personally I loved HS, I'll give anything to spend one more year there.

Don't feel stupid -I was afraid that high school would be like the movies where everyone is a stuck up snot, but it turned out to be great. There are so many different types of people, and once you find your place you'll have a good time.

It is never stupid to question something that you have never experienced.
Just be yourself and don't try to impress others.
If they aren't willing to accept you for who you are they aren't friends you would want anyway.
Study hard and get a good education.
God Bless You

Both. It is bad and good. For some it is really the worst experience of their life, for others it is where they reach their summit then their life is all downhill from there.

Don't expect anything. If you expect anything you will get your hopes up and then high school will suck because you did not live up to your expectations.
