I am not sure what symptoms she would be expected to have, but a baby that has grown for only 2 months is probably less then 4 oz, so it is very tiny.

The same thing happen to me. I went the hospital back in May for stomach pains that I was having and found out that I was 6 weeks pregnant. Then I went the hospital again this pass Wednesday cause I had the same stomach pains and bleeding. The doctor did two ultrasounds and told me that they couldn't find the heartbeat and that I was 6 weeks pregnant. I told him that can't be possible I'm suppose to be 10 weeks. So my baby stop developing after 6 weeks. So there was no possible way your friend could have that her baby was dead. The baby isn't moving this early in pregnancy. I'm sorry for your friend's loss cause I'm going through the same thing right now. I have to go get a D&C done. So if your friend does decide to let the miscarriage to happen on its own its going to be painful. I hate to tell her that but I did most of my miscarriage but the doctors want me to get a D&C done so they can get the rest of the material out.

Because she probably had a miscarriage when she was a month or so. The baby doesn't have a heartbeat until 6-8 weeks... Sometimes you cant even feel it when you miscarry that's why she didnt know or feel it. The easiest time to miscarry is during your first trimester (0-3months). My friend went and got an ultrasound after she took alot of pregnancy tests and they came out positive when she went they said she was almost 3 months but miscarried when she was 7 weeks. They said she could wait for it to come out by itself or they would take it out... so its hard to tell...

I am 3 months pregnant and just now starting to show. Before that, half the time I could have sworn I was just imagining being pregnant. You can't tell the baby is there at all. They are tiny (like an inch). You would never know whether the baby is fine or not. And she didn't miscarry, because sometimes it takes a while for the body to recognize that the baby has died. That is a sad story. I hope your friend is doing ok.

During the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, there is always a higher chance of miscarriage. It's the body's natural way of taking care of things because the baby is not healthy. At two months you feel no movement from the baby so there would be no way of knowing.

Movement from the baby doesn't start until later in the pregnancy. If she didn't bleed (and some women do when they miscarry), then she honestly wouldn't have had any idea.

Tell her that about 1 in 5 pregnancies end in miscarriage, and miscarriages are VERY common in women who haven't been pregnant before. Encourage her to try again when she's ready.

because at two month the fetus isn't big enough for a person to feel. The only way she might have been able to know is if she had bleeding which probably would of occured soon.

She did not feel it because you don't even start feeling the baby until about 5 months.
