how much more they can show on television these days? I mean I'm totally straight and I find the Victoria's secret commercials a little inappropriate for the youth....They show butts and boobs and everything.........It's horrible.....They're teaching the youth more curse words and they think: Oh, I saw it on tv it must be ok.......I think there's a problem that should be dealt with on tv and how much they are allowed to say and show.....Television these days has gotten way out of hand!

For True Dreamer: I was watching Desperate Housewives and a Victoria's secret commercial came on and they were in bras and panties! Also, just because there are these ratings doesn't mean kids don't have access to them.......All they have to do is figure out the password and that's just it, they can see everything then! Society today is horrible and become worse.......

Greenpeacein79: THAT'S HILARIOUS! I didn't even pay attention to that!!

And also the kinds of questions people are allowed to post on yahoo answers and the revealing questions about sex and other issues children should not be able to know!

yes it has and thank you for reminding me to e-mail Johnson&Johnson for showing unclothed children on tv either for their diapers or their products because it infuriates me that these children do not know the dangers of children being exposed in a way that is innapropriate. It makes no sense that we can't take nude photos of children and post them on the internet, which is wrong, but a baby company trying to put their product out on the market can expose an unclothed child?

I have noticed that too and i think TV has gone way too far. Another thing i have noticed is how society try's to make stars out to be God's. I hardly ever watch TV anymore . What happened to the good shows like Andy Griffith and Lucy and so forth? These were shows that kids could watch and actual learn from and in a good way too.

I have noticed and it pisses me off! They can say literally everything except two words. TWO. The f-word and the s-word (I'm not even sure about the s-word, you never know). But yeah it's the same on the radio...They can say everything, make dirty jokes, talk about sex, with nobody there to stop them. It's disgusting. MTV is especially horrible because they have the teenagers on it like wearing practically nothing and flashing and cursing and some even drinking and we just sit back and watch that garbage? It's horrible. My 10 year old neighbor walks around saying bad words and his mom just laughs "oh, he's so cute isn't he?" and it's despicable.

That's horrible! I've never seen those commercials and I don't want to. I bet my little brothers would want to see the breasts. They're ages 8 and 10 and VERY girl-observant. One time we were watching Just For Kicks on Nickelodeon and one of them explained the girl's bra to the other! I hated that and I hate it that they're not normal boys!!! >:(
Oh, and btw I think we should see what we can do about standing up to the people who put that kind of rotten trash on!!!

Do you know what I do I will turn the channel so I do not have to subjected to these kind of ads.I also tape most of my shows on comcast digital recorder and fast forward through all ads.
I am sick and tired of TV execs pushing their sex ads onto me and my family so I boycott their merchandise.I have a list of things I or my family do not buy and boy has it gotten big over the past year.

yes i agree, but apparently televsion only seems to reflect society, so if this is the case, society is becoming more and more lenient towards these kind of images which allows televison to do what it thinks will be accpetable for most viewers. But yeah there are also standards which they follow and as long as they are following those guidlines they can do whatever they want, which is unfortunate.

Since you noticed that then you also noticed that t.v. shows now have ratings, and those ads are usually broadcast during mature audience rating shows. I think it just another way to sell equipment that and televisions that have those parental blocks.

I don't watch TV anymore just because of all that stuff. I stick to listening to my cd's and reading a book because they will get me further then the TV.
