I would not add snails. They reproduce asexually, and will overtake the tank. A chinese algae eater would be a better idea. They are small fish and should keep the tank fairly clean. Also check out your light source. Some lights promote algae growth, they should also be replaced regularly. Direct sunlight is bad also. Good luck!

Once, a long time ago, when I had an aquarium I found one tiny snail in there. Cool! But in a few months all I had were snails. I never could get rid of them. And that is why I used to have an aquarium and don't any more.
Try the plecostamus, or whatever those algea eaters are. Or get one of those screen savers for your PC of an aquarium. Mine is really easy to take care of! Fish don't die, water is always clear, no 'ick' or smells or tank sitters required when I go on vacation!

You should get a pleco instead but they can be trouble as they like to suck on basically everything (well in my case I just have this huge goldfish and the pleco liked to suck the goldfish as much as it did the tank to the point at which I had to get rid of it) other than that its okay and keeps the algae down. I tried snails in my tank but they never lasted very long. After about a month or two I'd find them idly floating on the surface.

1stly keep your tank away from direct or partial sunlight during the day this a contributing factor for the growth of algae in your tank. This should stop or reduce the growth of algae snails are good but this should solve your problem. I hope this helps try it u have nothing to loooooooooooooose. Bye

Since your tank is only a 1 gallon I wouldn't put anything in there, having the goldfish in there it is already overstocked. Snails also only eat algae when they are very hungry. They should be feed just like any other animal.

Yes they will. I have several. Also to keep the algae down, use the light, over the tank, as little as possible. And if the aquarium is in a place where the sun shines on it, it should be moved to another site
Good Luck

Try a golden mystery apple snail. They are good at cleaning the algae off the glass and will not bother the Goldfish.

You should take the fish out of the 1 gallon tank. Too small for goldfish and don't put a pleco in there either they can get really big.

Better option is to put 2 or 3 pieces of K-Type ceramics inside the tank. These are available with "www.scdworld.com" in their web store

Yes, it will help. And be careful not to overfeed the fish, uneaten food can cause algae to grow faster.
