China is expected to become the world's biggest economy by 2026. OIL POWERS THIS HUGE COUNTRY.
It will be the biggest superpower that the world has ever seen.
Oil, black gold, is mainly took from IRAN and is the sole thing which keeps China going.
China has nuclear weapons and 4 TIMES as many people as america. They have a strong economial bond with Russia (Who sells China most of their weapons and cold war technology)
...I think that WORLD WAR III is INEVITABLE (between Russia and China against America for control of OIL )
Just think about it...

In today's world, the size of an army plays very little importance in the military might of that nation. One well placed bomb could reduce those numbers in a New York minute. It is doubtful that China will surpass the US in military might. China has not prov en its worth as a fighting force for many years, so all the money and resources that money can buy will not assure China of being the number one bad as*s on the block.
China is decades behind the US in military superiority. So what that means is: if the US stopped its military technology today and did nothing for the next 15 years or so, it would take China that long to reach parity with the US.
A bit optimistic? Perhaps! Let's hope we never have to find out.

They will buy us out. They pretty much have already, they just haven't called in the notes yet.
No matter. China is an old, wise country. Communism is changing with the times, and it might work out that the education they are getting about free markets will allow them to adapt their system in ways that we cannot due to our 'investments' in the Rich Man's Marketplace.
In some ways, China is planning for a future where they don't have to worry about anyone attacking them. They toy with Taiwan just to keep us aware that there is little we could actually do to defend that island, and they know that for now, it is more profitable to leave Taiwan alone and watch our overextended navy sweat about it, which leads us to be more forgiving in treaties and such.
In the end, the land and the people will go on. To the majority of the Chinese, government doesn't matter all that much yet. They've seen many come and go.
We should be watching which of our MFN's (most favored neighbors) make deals with the up and coming Chinese. Our economy is everything in the U.S., and when it tanks (and it will-history shows us that), we will need to get a new one started without the manufacturing base that we have transferred to China.
Our current purchases of oil and materials are running us into the poor house very fast, and we either need to tank our economy (to reduce our wants) or sell it to China. Bush I and Clinton have done a good job of the latter, Bush II is doing a great job of setting us up for the former.

China has a huge population. They are killing their female babies and rewarding male babies families. This is what worries me the most. China will have a massive population of men with no women. What does that mean for planning in the future. Men with no women, that means men with no families, that means a large standing army of single men with nothing to lose and everything to gain if they invade another country. The amount of giant boats coming into our ports everyday with goods manufactured in China is also a way in. Lets manufacture something in America for a change. All you young people reading this could change things by starting small or large manufacturing companies here and using your brains to compete in the global marketplace. Or, just manufacture what our country needs. Look into solar power as well. Start inventing solar powered appliances and things we could use to cut down our dependency on oil. The sun is free. Air is free. Use these to invent new things.

China may have the largest population...however, millions of oppressed rice farmers aren't really a threat to us, here. You have to have alot of resources, influence, and exposure to become a super-power. China has preferred being a lone ranger somewhat in their relationships with other nations. That mindset would have to change and change like that doesn't come quickly. It takes a lot of money to supply, train, house, and move an army around.

Chinese Army is the largest. But they are not capable. One US army man is equal to 100 chinese. They are short in sizeThey are threat to neighbouring India and Myanmar only.Army cannot fight at distant places like UK and USA without proper supplies. So they are safe.Future war will be fought with nuclear or biological weapons and Army may not be a major factor.China as a world threat is a myth.It may be an Asian giant.

China does not pose a threat to even Liechtenstein.
Islamic countries have oil. Big transnational companies need oil so they bribe some western governments to produce lame excuses and terrorise the western public through media so that they can steal away oil comfortably in guidance of stupid but innocent soldiers, just like in Iraq.

Isn't it strange, China has the largest and most powerful, and most advanced army in the world, but they don't use it.
No, they just work like dogs and steal your jobs!
And at the same time European countries are being told we work the longest hours for the least pay.
So in short... more delicious egg fried rice. :)

According to the Bush Doctrine (America'sThousand Year Reich) we will attack China long before China is capable of competing with us on the level you posit. They are a future threat and Bush declares that future treats are as dangerous as present threats and therefore vulnerable to US aggression..
