well is best if you get done by a pro. they usually clean the tongue and the tools take a pair of clams like things pull your tongue out and poke it with the special needle

The others are correct - go to a professional. There are veins and arteries that you don't want to puncture. Also - there is a big risk of infection because of the location of the piercing.
Personally - I wouldn't do it. It's really nasty. Think about it - everything you eat and drink will be caught up in that hole. It could fester and get infected. Ew! Then after you have it done, you won't be able to talk because of that thing on your tongue.
Think long and hard before doing it.

Get it done pro. if you dont, you may end up going through a part of your tounge that you dont want to. Its also cheap, most places charge $40. Its worth it. if you do it at home you have to buy the needle and a bar bell. I would pay the pro, they have everything you need to do, they've done it before and they can tell you how to take care of it.

go to a professional and they will do it for you becuase if you do it yourself it could get really infected and might have to get chopped off so it's better to be safe than sorry as they say
