Well don't count someone down because of there job or what they do or how they act.... None of that truly has a bearing on how intelligent they are..
Other then that its really a movie and I had to really think to remember if there was anything that it was a lesson.... But that would be the one if I thought that it was supposed to teach a lesson... Although, I believe that it was just a movie... for entertainment purposes only... But Like I said if there was one that would be it.

That smart people aren't always in college?
That math professors like to exploit bright students?
That no matter how smart you are, someone will try to put you to work making weapons to build empires?
That even smart people can get laid once in a while?
That no matter how many scholarships, A's, or grants you get, the janitor might actually know more than you do about how the universe works.
Or, there is always the touchy-feely answer: Love is more important than anything else, including critical thinking and your future. Too bad it's just an animal instinct that more often than not, ruins your life and keeps you from accomplishing things you might otherwise be great at doing.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. It also teaches the futility of assuming and judging others according to ones preset beliefs. My personal favorite lesson it teaches-- it shows the janitor in Breakfast Club wasn't a loser retard idiot everyone thought he was ...

I think one of the major things it teaches is...
