My Windows XP laptop restarts when I search command prompt on a search engine.?

This question is really obscure. I am not sure what you are asking. Are you saying you are trying to use a command prompt inside a search engine? That is not something any can do. The command prompt is a program inside the Windows XP Operating System, not a part of a search engine.

A search engine is used on Browsers to search the net. Command Prompt can start a search engine, but not run a search engine. Command Prompt can launch and run any program but it is not what actually makes the program function, it just launches or runs it. Once it is launched, then the program code itself takes over and does the job it is suppose to do.

So, I am unsure what exactly is going on here which is causing your laptop to automatically shut itself down. Could you put more information in your question so somebody else may provide a more comprehensive answer for you? Good luck.
