Can girls get circumcised?

Someone told me it was possible, but I don't see how.
What would be circumcised?

There is a procedure which is referred to as "female circumcision," but which is actually very different, and thoroughly disgusting. In some countries, the father actually cuts out the clitoris, supposedly to make a woman less likely to cheat on her husband. The idea, I suppose, is that if she does not get any pleasure from sex, she will have no incentive to take a lover.

Like I said, it is thoroughly disgusting. I was walking through an ultra-liberal bookstore once and saw a book with a photograph of the ritual. The mother was holding the girl, dressed in her best dress and apparently bent over a chair or table, while the father was behind her skirts with his knife and the girl screamed in pain. Why the picture was put in the book is probably in order to say it is barbaric, but I didn't need a photograph for that!

As was already stated, in some foreign countries there is a circumcision of the clitoris. But it ends up just being mutilated. It certainly isn't necessary.

I heard that in certain 3rd world countries that a type of this is performed to cut the girl's clit out so as to keep her from any pleasure during intercourse.This mutilation is done during her puberty as the mother helps hold her down...How disturbing is that???

But in some cultures they cut off all parts of a women that could bring her pleasure. Why? I don't know. Its actually very unsanitary becuase they do it with either a piece of metal or like a lid of a can. Rough eh?

yes they can and it's barbaric in certain cultures it is done so that the woman receives no sexual pleasure via the clitoris [ that's what they remove] and i suppose in theory will not stray.
