Surely you must be joking. President Bush is not a hero. The heroes of this country are the men and women in uniform overseas, the people brave enough to leave their families and friends to go to war. They are the firefighters and the people who actually WORK to protect this country. They are the ones who need to be honored and respected. Not someone who lies to America and the world, starts wars, pushes the economy to an all-time low, shows complete disregard for what the American people want, ETC. Bush is far from anything even having to do with a hero. Or from being regarded as a one of the greatest American presidents ever.

Only time will present the true answer to whether he was a good president or not. Whenever the economy is not booming, the American people hate the president. If everything suddenly started moving fast, like stocks and bonds, jobs, etc., people would suddenly start admiring him.

What he's got going on in the Middle east may be a real beginning of world democracy and take people away from dictatorship to freedom of choice for the first time in their lives - if it works that way, he will be known as a hero and wonderful president.

Right now in the midst of war and uncertainty the president becomes the scapegoat for all ills. As Truman displayed in the oval office during his presidency: The buck stops here.

You are lost in space. No President not even Reagan has done more harm to America than GW Bush. No President has taken more vacation time, lost a whole City, run up more debt., Cost 2489 brave Americans lives in Iraq and 15,000 wounded for no good reason. The Iraq war will cost tax payers $2 trillion over 10 years and working class Americans will pay that bill for 30 years to come.
No President in history has caused the death of 300,000 civilians in Iraq. BTW, Bin laden is in Afghanistan not Iraq and he has admitted planing Sept.11th. A full 75 percent of Americans agree Iraq was a mistake from the start.

It is NEVER possible to see whether a president will be one of the best until YEARS after his administration has left office.
To me, yes, he is a hero. Mainly because where most people would have stood there ringing his hands after 9-11, he took action. He felt for every person who had lost someone that day. It showed in how he acted, and what he said.
He didn't sit back and moan about how horrible it all was. He DID something. Many people disagreed with his actions, but he acted.

I wouldn't go as far to say he's a hero or even one of the greatest presidents ever, however I do think he is a good president and better than many presidents we've had in the past.

Bush will go down as one of the worst ever. He lied to the people in order to get us into Iraq. He did this so the oil compony Haliburton could move into Iraq and pump oil from all the oil wells in Iraq. Bush and Cheney have investments in Haliburton and are making a ton of money with us being in Iraq. Iraq was never behind 9/11 but evidence has shown Iran was.

Yes to both. He has endured some of the toughest times in American history (Sept. 11, War in Iraq, the era of Terrorism, immigration reform, social security)
top 5 of the best decision making presidents ever. He recieved alot of negative criticism but deserves much better. We never stop to think about some of the things that we have PROBABLY avoided since 9/11.
