U can Use Paint to change a Colored Picture to a Black and White picture .. and also U can Shade a Particular Area with a Special Color... Try it Out.. Good Luck

In Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro you can copy the image, then paste it as a 'new image' so you have two copies. Next make one image 'greyscale' (black & white). You can then use the clone tool to clone the part of the colored image onto the greyscale image.
You can also use layers and instead of having copied the image as a new image, you can paste it onto the original as a 'new layer'. Make the top (new) layer greyscale, & use the eraser tool to erase the part of the greyscale image in which you want the colored layer to show (bottom layer image) through.

open it in microsoft picture it, click black and white, then click the undo arrow.

I use Picasa as my photo shop and it will do that on there.
You can get Picasa through Google, I think.......geez, I've had it so long I forgot.

it would really help if you told us what program you were using!!

i know it can be done in photoshop, not sure about other programs though.
