I just recently had a baby and was wondering how should I be eating.

Your diet should be well balanced and you should be consuming at least 48 oz of water each day. As you loose approximately 500 calories each day when breastfeeding it would depend on how much weight you gained before you had the baby. Do not deprive yourself if you want to lose weight, because you will only harm yourself and the baby. If you are consuming a well balanced sensible diet then you should be fine.
