I saw a special today on the entebbe hostage rescue, is this the aniversary of the rescue?

No, it isn't until July, but I imagine, since this is a big anniversary year (30th), we will be seeing quite a bit about it on the History Channel and such.

Read a good book about it, it's very interesting, and none of the movies or documentaries I have seen about it get all the details quite right.

no the actual rescue took place on July 3rd and 4Th of 1976
