I need to know if I can take a steering column off of a 1987 blazer and put it in a 1989 scottsdale truck? also are all the electrical plugs the same for ignition,wipers,cruise control etc...Please only anser if you know for sure THANKS!!!!!

yes they are the same as long as they both have the same options. I have don't it before and I am going to do it again soon because my Scottsdale does not have tilt steering and I bought a blazer that does. They both have to be full size too. If it is the S-10 it will not work in a full size truck.

If it rather is tilt, then you rather would desire to tighten the 4 screws interior column. The guidance wheel, turn sig change and lock plate all would desire to come off to get right of entry to the screws. it rather is do-able in case you have the appropriate approaches.

if it is a "K" Blazer it should be compatible - wiring should work also or be simple to adapt as the components you mention are same in most cases - S/T Blazer won't work
