Up until about the early 1990s, I would say it was 95% music, 5% awful. The ratio's a lot higher now. Most of it sounds like something that I would do, which isn't a complement.

I would have to say, in my opinion, the rap genre is music. Music has evolved over the years and rap, to me, is a form of that evolution. Times will always change and music shall do the same.

I believe that most rap is very vulgar, but poetry isn't. Poetry has more to do with hip hop than rap. And Hip Hop and Rap are too entirely different things.

I would rather go for country music, but some of the poems in rap are nice, I just hate the bad language.

I like the Big Butt song by sir mix a lot. Also, I like some other rap music. Mostly it sounds loud and noisy to me. I'm a 42 year old white guy.

rap sucks. It is sexist. Why do people listen to some guy talk about what he did with some ra ndom girl the night before. I don't want to hear it. Yet another reason i listen to rock. It's less inapropriate.

It's both. You have to look at rap as an art. Music is an art.

Its not music neither poetry, its just shameless swearing and by calling it music, they actually get away with doing it in public, in front off thousands off kids and teenagers…
