drink a lot of fluids. Avoid things like pudding and coffee. Caffiene makes you urinate more and you need a lot of fluids when you're on your period because of the loss of water with blood. Take Buscopan plus if you could get the pills. If you can't find plus just take Buscopan and panadol with it. Very good with cramps. Choose to drink warm fluids rather than cold.

What are the best foods to eat during my period? Which should I avoid?
I'm currently on my period and I don't know what foods I should eat that won't cause me to cramp up or throw up.

You should try to stay hydrated. After all, you are losing fluid. Some people have cravings. If you are one of those people, then y all means listen to your body. If you crave salt, it is probably because you need an increased fluid intake. Your body knows what it needs, listen. Otherwise, maintain your normal diet.

Avoid salty foods as they will make you bloat up. Drink lots of water. The more water you drink the less your body will retain.

Some women go through stages where they need salty foods such as potato chips, pretzels, crackers, Some go through phases where they want sweet.
My advice is keep yourself hydrated, drink plenty of water
Eat leafy greens as they have lots of iron which your body needs,
Fruits and Vegetables and dairy.
Also, stay away from the caffeine.it tends to make you bloat more as it contains sodium

it really does depend on you, on what you can eat and can't, its just that some food make you feel better, but if you do get bad cramps, beside meds, you can try and take a nice hot bath, it helps its weird but it does, try www.webmd.com, teehee
