What does "start over" mean to you? Certainly he can change careers, he can father children, he can re-marry, etc. It'll be hard for him to get wealthy if he has no history of being at least reasonably skilled with money, but there are plenty of things he can do and he could even gain those skills too. So, I guess the answer is "yes."

Well of course, 38 really is NOT too old to start over!!! Actually, at 38, one just may do things a lot differently considering some growing up has been done by then. IMO, I feel men get better with age, kinda like fine wine. They are better husbands & fathers when they are in their late 30's & up. I have always been attracted to older men becuse of this.

I think it is a perfect time in your life to start over. You are mature enough to learn from your mistakes and should have the means and the energy to try again. They say 40 is the new 30 so you are really only 28. Enjoy life and look to the future.

Why not? It happens all the time. That's when men usually experience mid-life crisis anyway. Everyone has to start over at some point.
