It seems like a lot of us keep trying to change people in to someone they are not. I believe that people are who they appear to be or that you can't change them.

I guess what I mean is, when a person shows you who they really are, do you believe them the first time? So if you see someone's bad bad side, do you believe them or do you keep going back in hopes of fixing them?

I have never met a person today who turned out to be the same person the next day. That thing about 1st impressions being the most important. Well, they are the best but in most causes 1st impressions are not the whole truth. That's not intentional lying but we all want to put our best foot foreward and in essence that's what we do when meeting a new person. And especially if there is a boy/girl thing going on!

I am the most guiltiest person on the 'project man' thing or thinking to myself 'he's got so much potential'. But thinking about it now, I don't think I've ever known a man who wanted to make me or any other woman into other than what he was attracted to upon meeting them and in most cases we all know what that is. I'm not downing men but let's all be honest - men, in most cases, look for short term (satisfaction) and it is, in most cases, the nature of a women to look for that long term thing.

In conclusion, the only answer is to take the time to get to know someone before you let yourself get all excited. The first glow always wears off and if it seems too good to be true, that's usually becuase it ain't.

First impression is the greatest, there are a few who can front being someone else, but usually after talking with someone for 15 to 20 min you kinda get a feel of who they are.

I believe people like to put a image of their selves that is not really how they are. That is why some married people like to get comfortable like passing gas in front of their partner that they would not have done before. But some people are for real so I say it is 50/50. Good Luck

Anyone who believes who a person is the first time they meet is a bit gullible. It takes a while to get to know who a person is and even then, you won't know everything.

Women seem to be particularly obsessed with "project guys." There's always something they want to go to work on changing.

It's a real treat when you meet a woman who isn't into that.

Some people put on a front when they meet you and they wont be themselves cuz theyre affraid you wont like it. Be yourself and dont be unfair to whoever ur with. My x was a sweetheart 3 months into our relationship and then her true self came out and she abused me like crazy and she had mental problems she hid from me.

You are so wrong, but them maybe you havent know the lizards I have, the professional chameleons and liars. A lot of people my dear are so god damn insincere they don't know who they are anymore. But they can sure fake somebody out for a long long time.
