You are right. It is about sex often. If it were just about violence than older and elderly women would be getting raped at the same rate as younger women. Obviously the younger women are a bigger target because they are more attractive.

Rape is a form of battery (aka aggravated assault), and like any form of battery, the primary crime involves causing harmful/offensive contact without consent.
In rape, the only difference is the type of contact, which happens to be sexual. The reason people say that rape is about the violence, not the sex, is that regardless of motivation, the action is one intended to cause harm to another person. Whether the rapist does it because they want sex, or because they want to hurt the victim and sex is the easiest way, that is irrelevant. Rape is a form of battery.

Being "feminists" has nothing to do with it. Horniness may, but lack of self control and a very sick mind go hand in hand here. No one in a court of law cares that some nutjob was horny. He committed a crime and stands trial to pay for it. End of story. Since you don't advocate rape, you should understand this, eh?

The idea that rape comes from a man being so horny he can't control himself doesn't take into account all the horny men out there who don't commit rape. Every guy gets horny. Rape happens when you choose to use violence to satisfy that horniness.

Rape is about domination and subjugation of a female or even a male to feed your ego. The vulnerability of the victim is the turn on and not the sex drive. The need to control and humiliate the victim is much greater than the normal sex drive.

Congratulations for making the dumbest statement of the day!!! All you had to do was use the same computer you typed this question into to do the smallest bit of research and you would have learned all about the psychology of rapists. Instead, with no actual information at your disposal, you simply made statements based on, well, nothing. For spewing stupid nonsense and refusing to actually learn about the issue, I award you a Moron Number #1 t-shirt. Go stand outside in the rain and wait for it.

Hornyness and rape have nothing to do with one another...it's purely a control thing and some guys "get off" with dominance.
Do a bit more research on this one if you want a real answer, because most of the answers you will get in here will be BS.

Their point is that the main effort made by the man is a violent one, not a sexual one. That's why it's called rape. Taking something by force, against another person's will, and hurting that person. The violence is the primary ingredient. The sexual desire is secondary, and irrelevant.

Look serial rapists are demonstrated via studies to be be violent predators out to do harm...Date rapist and opportunity rapist are probably not driven by the same motives...but rape is a violent act...at least with murder the crime ends...rape is a lifetime of mistrust and pain and it should never be trivialized. Pray your family never suffers the trauma of Just Plain hoariness...

alot of the sex against children is about mental health issues,
But most of rape is really just about violence, the areas of date rape may have more sexual overturns.
It is not feminists but social science that have studied it.
