Try telling her that your flattered that she pays so much attention to you but your happily married and love your wife a lot and it's best if the consent chit chat be at a minimum. That you don't want the neighbors to get the wrong idea and especially her parents.

If the girl is only being a polite neighbor and striking up everyday chat then most likely she might need some friends her own age. In which case get your wife involved in the conversations because jealousy over a minor says something about your wife's insecurity. If the talk is a little more adult then say something to her like "I don't feel our talking is appropriate and we should keep it at 'Hello / Goodbye'". If she continues let her parents know, but cautiously. Parents will usually be on the defensive when a grown man is talking to them about their teenage daughter.

I remember having a crush on the neighbor man next door when I was about that age, teenage girls are so stupid sometimes. My friends and I would flirt with him from time to time. I'm sure I would have ran away screaming though had he ever tried to come onto me. She might just have a girlish crush on you. Since you are married, just be polite, afterall she is a young girl with feelings, but be firm. If she talks about something that makes you uncomfortable, you need to tell her it's inappropriate. Now as a woman, I can tell you that your wife might be able to tell a little better than you what this girls intentions are. Sooo to keep yourself out of BIG BIG trouble, don't entertain this young girl, be polite say "hello" and be on your way. Sixteen y/o girls today seem to be alot more aggressive than I ever remember being...and if you make a wrong turn, you could end up in jail, afterall you are the adult here. Best wishes!

To be quite honest with you, you have two questions on here regarding the young chick.....Could you be just a teensy bit interested in her too? You could be risking a lot here buddy!

At 16 girls are not to smart and they are just realizing they have something men like. You could break up two families here if you are not careful. I would totally ignore the girl EXCEPT with a wave and a "Hi". Not how are you or what's going on? Those phrases start conversations and you don't want to do that. Keep walking and don't stop. She knows you are interested. And she will continue to press your buttons. It's a game of the older guy next door to her................RUN and don't stop..............

How about staying away from the fence? If you're not at the fence, then she can't chat with you.

If I were her parents I would kick your a** for returning her "chat." You are the adult here, so start acting like it. I don't blame your wife; obviously you are enjoying the girl's attention and getting an ego stroke. Pathetic, really.

You don't need to control your wife. You need to control yourself dude. Two words Jail Bait!! Stay the hell away from that girl. Talk to her parents if she won't leave you alone.

But you need to realize too that you don't CONTROL your wife!
