I'm afraid that in the UK we don't have reverse look-up for phone numbers. The only way you will get the address is by dialling the number and asking.

the telephone company cannot give an address out if you have the telephone number however they can give the number out if they have the name and town or city where this person resides if you have the number and the name but not the address the first part of the number will tell you what area that this person comes from[ie 01273 = brighton and hove area 020 = London etc etc], from there you can access the telephone book for that area [which should be in your local library]and you might get lucky and their address will come up if it is not in the phonebook you can try [once again you must know the area and the name] by checking the electoral role at the local council. these are the only legal ways i know of that the general public can search to find someone's address out.

reverse phone number search compiles hundreds of millions of phone book records to help locate the owner's name, location, time zone, email and other public information.

Use a reverse phone lookup to:
Get the identity of an unknown caller.
Identify an area code.
Recall the name of a person whose number you wrote down.
Identify an unfamiliar phone number that shows up on your bill.

You could try putting the number in google and see if it helps - I have occasionally had success with this when I have received a call from an unknown number on my phone.

ring the number

say "hello, what's the address there please?"

ta da!

ok seriously..
i think you can do the so-called "reverse look up" using
a product from afd

http://www.afd.co.uk/names.asp

but it's a bit expensive to buy
likewise this uk database
http://www.192.com/products/productdetails.cfm?item_id=48

often these products do not officially support reverse look up but in effect you can do it by simple combination of moves copying and pasting data into excel

also
you can get the approximate location from the area code
using
http://www.ukphoneinfo.com/section/tci/locator.shtml
if you don't have that already

you are looking for the address to a phone number you know right?
if the phone number is "ex directory" then it is a private number and you won't be able to get an address ,if its not private but "listed" it will be in directory enquirys.
try posting the phone number here,if you dont have much luck
