It depends on, when you will do your trip and where you go. At the moment, means in spring, there aren´t mosquitoes. Also if you go to a city, there are no "Mücken" as they are called in Germany. better bring your insect repellent with you, when you go to lakes and wet areas.

I think they everywhere. BUT, you may not be able to bring a repellent on an Airplane if you fly. Check first. May have to wait until you get there to buy it.

There weren t any when I went to Munich, we had all the windows wide open, not one flying bothersome insect came in and we were in a woodsy area. The owner of the house told us they don t have screens because there are no bugs to keep out.....spiders were a problem though.

Yes, they have them. Somebody I know swears by "Bounce" dryer sheets. (Rub them over exposed skin and wear them through belt loop on pants). She uses them for mosquitoes all the time and your suitcases will smell nice when you get there
