Why stop there? He's going to be another Hurley, another Trajon Langdon, another Dunleavy, another Ferry---another Duke player who plays is a$$ off in college but too soft for the NBA. Another soft Duje player-Boozer. Which brings up another ???---aside from Grant, did Duke ever produce a player who was worth it? My bad--Elton Brand and MAgette. The rest are garbage--including Reddick.

Duke players have historically done very poorly as pros... the two best pros to come out of Duke are Grant Hill and Elton Brand. I personally think Redick IS going to be another Christian Laettner... I don't know when a Duke player was as hyped as Redick, other THAN Christian Laettner.
I still want to puke thinking about our great '92 Olympic Dream Team wasting (and I mean WASTING) a spot on that roster for a player like Laettner. WFT was the Olympic Committee thinking? What, college fans wouldn't watch the Olympics, because all we had were Magic, Bird, Jordan, Barkley, Ewing, Robinson, Pippen, Drexler, Mullin, Stockton and Malone? We needed a 'great' COLLEGE guy on THAT TEAM???
Seems to me that Redick would be easy to shut down at the NBA level... the 3 pt line is further away, and he has no game other than chucking from 3 pt land...

JJ Redick is a solid shooter- but he cant play defense for ****... As for NBA comparisons I'd say lookup Casey Jacobsen- thats what I expect of JJ Redick...he'll never be an NBA All Star

Yes, 100% totally. JJ can only hit the open 3's, his dribble penetration is weak, he's short and small, he doesn't have any hops, his offensive iq is nothing without shooting. Defensively JJ has no power at all. You could play Earl Boykins and JJ still couldn't defend him.

He could if he goes to the wrong team. If a team wants him to be a LeBron James, or Dwayne Wade, he can't do that. But if he's going to be a spot 3-point shooter, he can do well.

No. He improved his overall game last year and is a great shooter. It's a matter of him getting into a system that will allow his natural shooting talents to come through.
