I don't think ole Georgie boy realizes that he has fallen so far. That our country is a total mess because he is only allow to hear certain things inside that little bubble he lives in at the White House. He is so completely sheltered from any opposition point of view that I think he truly believes everyone is with him, and we all can't wait to see what amazing trick he's going to do next. That is why he constantly has that "Hey, I said it so it is true, period, end." mentality. That is the way it works for him inside the walls of the white house. He has no clue how it works if it's not being "handled" or "spun". So yes I think he is happy because ignorance is bliss. He's sooooo blissfully happy he is nearly comatose.

First off, his administration is not "criminal" get your facts straight.
The question that should be posed is "why is our nation so polarized?" not a cocky "are they happy with the way they polarized our great nation?".
The fact of the matter is that we are a "great nation", therefore as "polar" as we seem to be, our country always seems to accept decisions that are made by our commaner-in-chief and his administration.
You must understand that in a time of war, there will always be some degree of polarization among the people, a war is never completely supported nor completely opposed.
In my opinion, it seems that looking at cover, our country is definetely somewhat divided, but if you take a closer look, we are actually much more united on other issues. We stand firm against shared fears such as terrorism, we all retain the same values and beliefs and we MUST realize that even though our democratic society revolves around debate on political and governmental issues, we should all still support what our high ranking political leaders do as a result of that debate.
The war on Terror and the war in iraq are infamous for creating debate in our country and they probably will for generations to come, but in hind-sight dont you think we should all be grateful for what we have PROBABLY avoided in the past few years?
We need to wake up and realize that it is okay to be against our presiding commander-in-chief, but it is UNAMERICAN to come out and say that he is destroying our country as we know it.
His administration has encountered a few of the most defining moments and events in American history and we should all respect the percevierance and resiliance he has shown as a result of all the negative criticism he has recieved.
The mission will never be truly accomplished, regardless of who is in office. Lets not bash our own leaders, instead we should support what really matters; our troops, our people, our government, without it, you and are are nothing.

Slow the attack there & I'll be happy to have a legit conversation with you. YES I'm VERY unhappy with how polarized America is, but that happened long before Bush was President. America was polarized when conservatives won the congress back in 94 after over 60 years of democratic rule. The country was polarized when republicans impeached Bill Clinton. Remember the "Contract with America" & Newt? Democrats were pissed off at that point that a conservative agenda was being advanced even under Bill Clinton as President, and they responded by running a liberal candidate for President to swing back toward their base. A liberal candidate that swing voters wouldn't support. Bush won that election narrowly (& he really did, go check the liberal Florida newspaper counts from after the case). Democrats then took to blaming Bush for everything, and still being pissed off that a conservative agenda was being advanced now under two branches of the govt & the threat of taking over a third, they ran ANOTHER liberal candidate that swing voters didn't like, and republicans were handed another close election.
In any case, I do didlike the environment of hate on both sides. This President is out of office in 08, the democratic party has an even chance at the congress this year for the first time in a 12 years, and maybe a shot at the white house in 08. Can you put aside your hate for the President till then? You don't have to support him, just don't blame him for everything or make all this personal. Can I ask you to do that as I extend an olive branch here & ask that we move beyond this. You're still going to dislike our agenda & candidates, and you're still going to be pissed if we win this year and/or in 08, but can we not make it personal anymore. None of us can understand why democrats would want to feel so much personal hate just because they dislike our country's direction or the decisions of its leaders.

Sometimes it seems more divided but it probably is about "normal".
With 24/7 news and more and more political commentary on TV and radio it seems kinda' CRAZY.
I think people have always disagreed.......heck most FAMILIES disagree on politics, RIGHT!!!???? How would 400,000,000 people disagree LESS than an average American family does???
Just remember........TV networks get paid by advertisers, exclusively. The more viewers the more money. Viewers like controversy and the networks keep it coming ..........forever.....blah, blah, blah.........
All administrations are criminal.
W will not run for any office, again.......ever.
Hillary will try to get BACK to the White House.....does that make you happy???!!!

Yes I think you hit the mark Prof, but the only thing that has changed is the number of people that support the most criminal, and inept of all presidents, it is dwindling by the moment and it will only take a few more "mistakes" and he will only be supported by those insiders that are around him and a few mentally dimminished people that cannot think for themselves. The rich will even abandon him in favor of the next person that will give them every break.

The nation seems more polarized now because "Georgie Boy" sticks to his principles and does what he believes is right. This makes it easy for you to decide if you agree with him or not. Whether YOU feel he's doing the right thing or not is for you to decide.
Contrast with Clinton, whose opinions and decisions were based on the most recent poll numbers. Clinton had no backbone; we all know where his real "bone" was.

No, I don't think they're pleased. They expected far more applause than they're getting. They are really so disconnected from everyday America, they really don't have a framework for understanding our concerns. The administration lives in a bubble, and only gets information from "reliable" (tame) sources. Have you noticed how confused they get when they hear criticism over some action (or lack thereof) they take?

What's wrong with polarization? God forbid we feel strongly about anything! Yeah, it would be a much better country if we were all a bunch of spineless moderates and had a leader who based every decision on polls. Now that's leadership and unity!
