How would you commemorate this day? What do you thank for? Do you think Filipinos still value the Independence we once fought for from the colonial rule of Spain?

1. To celebrate tonight, I will eat lumpia, chicken BBQ, rice and finish it off with a sans rival slice and Halo-halo. Hmmmm, hmmm....goood!

2. Even though I do not live in the Philippines anymore, I am thankful for the positive aspects of the culture and heritage that is still an essential part of my being.

3. Filipinos in-country are usually too busy eaking out a basic living to think too much about the spirit of celebrating "independence" from a colonial power. But we Balikbayans do!
