Humans need oxygen to survive. On other planets, however, this does not exist in a way which permits us to breath in a manner that is conducive to our survival. As a result, astronauts wear special gear that provides them with oxygen (while simultaneously enabling the exhalation of carbon dioxide). The process involved is what makes human survival possible in space :).

An electrical charge balanced across a wide area, something only a planet like Earth can possess. Our natural electric field plays a greater role in our day to day lives than we give it credit for. From gravity to all the chemical reactions that take place, the fields balance it all.

Being up in space, you will find yourself wasting away without this essential energy balance. All the exotic particles that scientists create in accelerators will never exist in close proximity to humans. We will have long left an area before they ever show up, so you better believe there will never be antimatter engines or any ridiculous crap like that.
