There are many websites. One popular one - Myspace. Or theres dating websites, if you into that sort of thing. Try going to clubs or bars or just local hangout areas in your community. Then you could just greet whoever catches your eye and come up with something to talk about.

I always introduce myself when they're alone... so that you don't have to be embarassed when their friends stare you down and look at you up & down and that person you're tyring to make friends with isn't all busy talking to their friends. I made the best friend ever by doing that!
