You have chosen the most active 7 day period in the Atlantic hurricane season to travel to Florida, so with that being said, the odds are much much higher than if you had planned your trip for December.

Even so, the probability of Orlando being directly affected by a hurricane in that week is still very small overall. Philip Klotzbach from Colorado State University has published probabilities for a hurricane directly impacting a specific county this season. For Orange county, Florida, the probability is only .2% for the entire season, which means you have a 99.8% chance of not experiencing hurricane force winds in Orange county (Orlando) if you stayed there the entire hurricane season.

So although no one can say for certain, chances are you will be just fine!

Obviously you can never tell when a hurricane is going to hit. But, it is a good idea to watch the weather in the area prior to going to get an idea of what will be going on.

Orlando really doesn't get hit by hurricanes, they just have bad weather, i.e. high winds, rain, etc. It would put a damper on your vacation, but not really put you at risk. If you are staying with Disney, or plan to be in the parks and things, they take very good care of you. I was there a few years ago when they had bad weather, they have entertainment, food, etc. in the lobby and everyone had a great time. They also compensated anyone that asked. Disney does have cancellation policies and things, but, Disney and most airlines will cancel any fees if the area is going to be affected by the weather. If they aren't supposed to have problems with the weather, those policies still apply. I'm not sure about hotels outside of Disney or Universal, but if staying on site this is what you can expect.

Overall, you should be fine.

Have a great trip!

I am going Sept 17th - 22nd, may or may not be any hurricanes. last year I went during the same timeframe and Hurricane Rita was heading for Texas. You never know. Don't be nervous, just check the weather reports. (Last year it was cloudy and rained a bit almost every day. Let me tell you though, the parks were not crowded AT ALL. Some people saw my vacation photos and even asked, "Where are all the people? I thought Disney Parks were always full of people!")
Have a GREAT trip!

Slim to none. Hurricane season is mostly done for by then and Orlando rarley gets hit with anything other than rain or slight wind. You should be fine!

Its a crapshoot. check the weather about two weeks ahead to see what the weather is coming off Africa. I liver for 30 years in FL and no weatheran can predict where a Hurricane is coming
ashore, Not even 12 hours in advance.

Hurricane season runs through end of November. Chances are you are going to be fine. No one can predict something like that. Don't let it ruin your vacation.
