Before you actually pay for hosting, or use geocities, you MUST learn basic HTML. Trust me, it's actually a very easy programming language, you don't need to be good with math. Search the net for tutorials, there are many.

If you want to design it your self then I recommend Dream Weaver or ACE HTML both are good, However Dream Weaver seems to be the more dominant Note this is for serious web site.

Then you will have to find someone to host it and or you will have to create a domaine on a local server from your location which you had better have a t1 line for good up and down stream. All this is why My space is so popular you can creat your on web pages there and there is no cost. You are of course limited to their html parameters. If you are looking for just a casual page there are so many free hosting sites it is dizzing.

Try www.geocities.com they have great tools and plenty of web interface. Lots of web templates or make your own you do not need to know any HTML...its fun too. You can really make professional looking ones too.

Use Freewebs (http://members.freewebs.com/) Their domain is currently www.freewebs.com/username but will soon be username.webs.com. It's got lots of templates, is HTML compatible, and has many other services! Try it out!!!
