its never too late to learn. I went to a tech school for autobody repair and it was set up for the person who has no experience. If you want to learn it as much as it sounds, you will pick it up. Always remember to wear your mask when sanding and painting! Ive been painting hummers for the military for six years now, and the paint and dust can catch up with you if youre not safe! Good luck!

18yrs old, Geesh, I got T- shirts older than that. It use to be most apprenticeships begin at 21 back in the Olden days but now that you know what you want to do in life or just as a hobby on your own stuff I think that's GREAT!!! There are vocational schools that offer entry level training in nite school. Look around at car shows for car clubs you may be able to join or just hang around at mtgs. and such. Alot of street rod and street macine clubs kind a swap work around with each other to get projects going. Remember, maturity and respect of elders goes a long way with these old timers so pay attention. Like someone else said YOU ARE NEVER TOO OLD UNTILYOUR DEAD. Good Luck

You certainly are not too old to begin learning this craft. You would be smart to check into a Community College course, so look into your local Community College. If you have a strong interest in this field, and you work hard to learn the work, you can make a good living and really have a good job. Good luck.

Try a trade school. I don't think 18 is too old to learn that. Follow your dreams, if they change then change them.

Tech school is great. Realy cheep, and they assume that you know NOTHING about cars when you start. Im in a tech here in NH for Airframe and Powerplant (airplane mechanic) and i love it.

How old will you be in two years? You're never too old, until you are dead.
