Two weeks does seem like a long time for a 2 year old to be away from his Mother at one time. Could they possibly make it 2, one week visits? One week is long enough it seems to me for him to be away from his Mother. If the dad objects, he doesn't have the best interests of his child at heart, in my opinion.

No. The child was conceived by both parents Not just his mother. He needs both parents in his life and to know that they are there for him. 2 weeks to me is not long enough. Parents should put their feelings for each other aside and think of the child. Maybe while the child is with his father they could have a ritual where every night before bed he calls his mom to tell her goodnight.

Personaly, I think it is too long but this is what happen to me....
First of all, she is lucky that it is just two weeks. My son was barly a year old, his father (who had never been in his life) took me to court and got visitations. They gave him 2 weeks the first summer, based on age. He was to use those seperatly witch ment one week, then home with me, then one more week. But now this summer, starts 6 weeks away. He is to use these in 2 week periods. So, I think it is too long, but its the law. I know, it sucks!!!!

it's with his father, so why should it be too long?? if the father isn't capable of being there though those two weeks...{job, etc...} then yea...it might be too long. But it really is up to the father in this situation to decide..if he has the time or not.
