Most certainly. The skin streches and grows, the tattoo ink does not. Just look at an older person that has a tattoo, it gets all wrinkly and droppy as the skin ages.

The tattoo would definitely distort as the baby grows.

And, by the way, where on Earth would you find a tattoo artist who would tattoo a baby? Anyone who would do this would NOT be in my book of "Qualified Tattoo Artists I Would Trust".

I agree with Martin. In answer to your question,
I would think as the baby grows it would distort because skin stretches and renews itself.

Probably distort and I'll tell you why I think that. My son and I were in a motorcycle wreck,he was about 5 and the plastic surgeon said even though his injuries weren't as bad as mine they would stretch more because of him growing.I'd let the child make that decision when he is grown.

although this is very sick and twisted, the tattoo would stretch and yea itd become distorted, becasue think if you gave it a star on the back of its hand, it would be like a circle when they are 12

Why on earth would you tattoo a baby? That seems a wee bit on the cruel side.

I`m fairly certain that it is very wrong to tattoo a baby when it is born.

Wow... umm yeah, well although it is isn't generally acceptable in modern cultures such as the US, many tribal areas tattoo their children just as we mutilate the penis's of our kids in america (circumsition). You are tattooing a child not caring about its opinion but it shouldn't physically handicap him (except keep him outta the military).
