you know, i never thought of it that way but that is true.
i guess it was just made up for a way for kids to have fun but that buts an interesting thought to the pinata. i know i will think twice before buying one.

They aren't cute. The only good thing about them is that their full of candy. It's not encouraging or rewarding violent physical abuse because it's not a living thing. It's just a party game for kids.

I don't know why they are cute, but I do like to take photos of pinata burro heads once the fun is over (usually the body gets separated from the head during all the violence). All in fun! Got to love the hispanic culture!

Pinatas are party favors they have nothing to do with violence. That's the problem with our country these days everybody takes everything to extremes. If your kid is mad at it then it's violence, but all he wants is cavities or sweets and beating the crap(or candies)out of it is the only way he's going to get it.The last thing he's thinking about is violence.Don't analyze everything so damn much.

why are you dissing the pinata? the porpose is for kids to get to the candy on the inside. besides, it was actualy used to banish evil, because it often had a 7 point star (representing the devil and the 7 deadly sins)

I use to think the same thing when I went to a child's birthday party and watched as the kids went crazy trying to hit the pinata. It was almost scary to see how angry some of them would become if they were not the one to break it open.I never had them at my kids party and never plan to have them at my gran kids.
