Call Planned Parenthood or look on their website:

Planned Parenthood: Birth Control
Contains information about various methods of contraception.
Category: Birth Control
www.plannedparenthood.org/bc

Emergency contraception is called "EC"

Good luck.

It is prescription, but my doctor gave it to me for free. I just had to pay for the visit. It's not just one pill though. It's several. I don't remember exactly how many, but you have to take a few the first day, and then one a day for a few days after that. They made me feel sick and dehydrated. But at least I didn't end up pregnant. Make sure you tell them when you call to make the appointment what it's for. Don't be embarrassed or you may not get in there immediately. You have to get the first pills within 72 hours of unprotected sex or it does no good.

You can get it from any clinic, any hospital emergency, or some doctors can give it to you right there in their office.

I'm not sure about price... Here in Canada it's free... it might cost something in the states.

Just keep in mind you have to take it within 72 hours for it to be effective.. and sometimes it doesn't always work... its usually recommended to take it within 24 hours, that makes it more effective.

P.S.- I just read the answer above mine... I don't know where she lives, but here in Canada, no doctor will *EVER* perscribe the morning after pill!

Regardless of the cost it's far better than having an unwanted baby. Before you have sex again, make sure you are using birth control.

If you have sex then you should pay the consiquences of you actions. The morning after pill is no better than abortion. I hope that one day you'll come to realize this.

Planned Parenthood usually gives it for free. You can purchase it at the pharmacy without an Rx but I think it's pretty pricy.
