Ask her to help you pick one out. She'll be able to help you find the type you need since she's already done it before.

Tell your mom that you need a bra. If you are uncomfortable with the thought of wearing a "real" bra, just go to Wal-Mart and buy a sports bra. They are very comfy. If you want a real bra, and if you are on the bigger side, go to a place like Victoria's Secret. They can measure you and tell you what size you are. And the bras are comfy and they will last a while compared to a cheap bra from wal-mart. The Pink bra from VS are made to appeal to younger people and they have ones without wires, which can be uncomfortable if you have never worn a bra before, but a good for girls with C cup or above to make sure everything is well supported. If your breasts are supported by a well fitting bra, it will make everything more comfortable. Best of luck.

Sorry to hear that your mom is checked out. You can measure yourself by using a measuring tape. Pull it around your chest right across your nipples. This is the first number in your bra size. (30" or whatever) Go to the store and pull bras that start with that number. The cup sizes start a A being the smallest and go up to D being the largest. You probably need an A or B to start out with. Try some on. The band around you should fit snug and the cup should be filled entirely without you squished out the top. If all else fails get someone to take you to the underwear department at a store. They usually have staff that is trained in fitting women for bras. If your mom knows you need one than tell her to get off her lame butt and get you to the store. Otherwise just go for it yourself.

Okay Chickie, here's the scoop. If you're not comfortable with your mom taking you to go get a bra, or she's too preoccupied with whatever is going on in her personal life, you could try going with some friends, your sister (if you have one), grandmother, or an aunt. Otherwise, you could go by yourself. Try going to a small special store, such as Victoria's Secret, where one of the women that work there can assist you in finding one that will fit properly. Other places are JC Penny's, or other department stores like that where they have a special section for lingerie. You just need to make sure you have enough money for the bra. Bring about $40 to be safe if you're going to a specialty store, though you probably won't spend it all. Good luck!

Do you have a measuring tape? Wrap it around yourself across your bust line and that tells you the number in your bra size (example: 28 inches around means you'll probably need a 28A or 28B) and you have to try on a few to figure out what cup size will work for you.
When you go shopping for a bra don't wear a baggy t-shirt, wear a tighter fitting blouse so you can see what your potential bra purchase will look like under the clothes you'll be wearing.

Ask you mom to take you to the mall and make a day of it....If you don't want your mom to take you then ask your older sister (if you have one) or an aunt or cousin.....you really should have an experienced bra buyer with you the first time so that you make sure that you get the right size and fit for your body...

If i understand you correctly, you motherhas already given you permission, and in fact instructed you to go and get a bra.
Go get it.
And if you want to keep your girls perky... This is what almost all of the women in my family do, (we are all pretty busty) and my aunts have stayed remarkably perky into their 50’s
FIRST – wear a properly fitting, well sized, supportive bra. This should be something that holds the girl up, and keeps them supported. Your everyday bras should be under wire, full coverage, and comfy. If your bras lack any of those characteristics – they are the wrong size / wrong bra for you. If your under wires poke you, you are wearing the wrong size. Go and have a bra fitting done for you. If you go to a Leggs Hanes Bali store the sales girls (and guys) are trained to fit your bra properly. I like Bali bras – but sometimes they are a bit lack luster in the fashion department, so I also wear a lot of VS Second Skin Satin bras – they fit me well, provide sufficient support for me (though more would be fine) and come in a huge variety of colors. I HATE Playtex bras. They are ugly, and they SMELL. Avoid them at all costs.
Never wear a soft cup bra for regular daily wear. There is simply not enough support to risk it. Besides, with a properly fit under wire bra, a good supportive under wire is at least as comfy as any soft cup.
Special occasions are special occasions, and require special bras – avoid going braless however – unless that is the occasion.
Second – When doing ANY type of exercise – including things like gardening – or anything else that may cause extra bouncing, wear a good, strong sports bra, something that is capable of holding the girls in and controlling all of the bounce. One of my aunts has been known to wear two sports bras on occasion. An even better solution is to not do any sort of bounce inducing exercise and confine your work-out to the pool. The water prevents you from doing any damage to your breasts (or joints) and provides excellent all over toning and cardio work out all in one.
Third – and this is the real secret – and it is the critical step. Wear a bra to bed. Sleep in a bra every night. This does not need to be a firm support under wire contraption, and it does not need to be uncomfortable at all. In fact – it should be comfortable. No one does a lot of bouncing when they sleep, so all this bra is doing is keeping the girls in place – it does not need to be firm support. These bras are a bit harder to find, but they are worth the effort, and worth what you have to pay. Try to find “leisure” bras, or “sleeping” bras. If you google them you will find something. They are a MUST if you want to remain perky for as long as possible – and well worth any trouble you may have to go through to find them.

im a girl im using my husband's nickname. Sweety you need a bra at this age, it's not really pretty showing ur niples, you can go at JC Penney and they assist you with the size. You know that 8 of every 10 women use an incorrect bra size? Dont worry about that, you need to take care of you breast.

Tell her you want to go shopping and just happen to walk by the bras and say, "Mom remember when you said I should get a bra? Why don't we look at some?"

J.C.Penny has a bra section and they will measure you and find the correct size for you. Your Moms probably does not remember how she got her first bra and you can just go to an expert!..... Once you get measured and get your first bra you will learn how a bra should feel and it's supposed to do!!!! the next bra you get you can go and get a cheaper one (ON SALE) since you'll know what that darn contraction in your chest is supposed to do!!!!!!.........Smile

if your 12 and u barely stared developing ur probably a size 34a or if your back is big then your 36a. letters are the cup size. numbers are the size of your back. start of with a cotton bra. they feel much conftrible. then when u get used to them then use a wire bra. but u really don t need one till u get older, or get huge breast.
