can I hook up my xbox 360 with high deff. cables to a Bose Lifestyle 12 system? or any way to work around it?

Yes this can be easily done but you need a central receiver such as a yamaha or denin. You can then plug the hi def cables into the HD component of the receiver and the Bose system into the audio components. The receiver simply connects to you tv and then any components that you need to use, run through the receiver (ie DVD player, satellite, tivo, dvr etc....)
