220 is cheaper. It takes more electricity to do the job @ 110 volts. 220 is more efficient and gets the job done at less cost and less time.

Your electric company is the best place to go for the answer to this question.Sometimes 110 is cheaper but takes longer to run than 220.

220 is the best alternative since it consumes less electricity.
110 consumes more energy because it uses more amps than 220.
The amps are the ones who really consumes energy. when you have an appliance the uses less amps it's called energy efficency, like most of the AC's. with the Dryers is the same, the less amps it uses the better because it use less energy. So look for the ones that operates on 220. I have one on my apartment and believe me it's not the one that cause my bill raise.
