Is it because they are used mostly to advertise towards gay people? I know there are a few who don't but the majority have feminine features. Personally I think women, (like myself) would enjoy them if they were portrayed a little more 'rugged'. Like the guys in the old diet coke commercials.

I think the pretty men are attracted to that type of work. The rugged men are doing rugged jobs.

well I work part time as model - mostly of underwear and jeans
and i get heaps of work offers
I am very big and far more rugged in looks than anything soft and feminine
I think it depends hugely on the market that the ad is targeting
because I am dark skinned dark hair but with very blue eyes with (part tahitian and hawaiian blood) I guess I fill a certain niche
all models need to fit some sort of saleable niche
by the way most of us love to smile and most of us are far from being fags!!!!!! three cheers for women - you make the (well my) world go round!!!!!

Most male models are bisexual, which means they are gay. Just another word for gay. That's why they shave their chests and legs so gay men want to buy their pictures. If women bought the stuff they probably would be hairy and rugged but virtually no girls do, very few.

Because the standard of beautty applied to them seems to be the same applied to women models: Slender, great skin, nice (full) hair, pretty smiles... in other words, Pretty Boys instead of real men. The definition of beautty is usually femenine too (at least to me!).

I wouldn't say they looked feminine, however, I would love to see some of them smile a bit more.
I was looking through a clothing catalogue the other day and realised how miserable these poor blokes look!

guys just look that way because that is just the way that you see them as and plus just because they look good and have a lot of stuuf to make them look good like girls,doesn't make them feminine!
