I really wanna start auditoning but I dont know where the auditions are held

You can't audition for films unless you belong to the Screen Actor's Guild. You can ONLY audition by invitation through the guild. In order to get into the guild you must work professionally as an actor/actress. The way to do this is to get hired on for a major production (play, opera, infomercial, soap, etc.).

If you live in a big city for example New York, there are special papers just for this. Also check online for auditons in your area. Yahoo or google. Sometimes in the classifieds they list them also and go to your acting studio's they will be posted there as well. Good Luck

There are audition sites with this information. Having an agent also helps. For movies looking for extras and holding open casting calls for roles there are usually adds in newspapers or haging up around the area where they are holding auditions.

Oh-oh! You are in for a big surprise if you think you can just walk right into this. The Predator-type people just love you juicy little pieces of candy-gum. They will chew you up & swallow you whole & spit out whatever is left of you. Start off in your hometown by going to your local college campus & take a theatre class where you can start doing "safe" auditions. This way you just may live to your 30th birthday! I live in Los Angeles & girls like you end up dead in dumpsters everyday after their auditions & bit parts are filmed in secret locations without permits. Please be smart when going into this arena. SAG (Screen Actors Guild) will require you to join for a speaking part, other than that, you can be a stand-in without joining SAG, unless those rules have changed in the past 2 years. You can also go to your local Library & ask the REFERENCE DESK for TRADE MAGAZINES that list auditions. Like I said, be careful & never go alone in the beginning. Then when you DO go alone, ALWAYS let someone known where you are going & who you will be seeing, just in case you don't make it home safely.
