Liberals accused President Bush of deliberately missing al-Zarqawi in Iraq in 2002 ; while saying there were no terrorist ties to Iraq when the troops entered Iraq in 2003 . If Zarqawi was in Iraq in 2002 , how could there be no terrorist ties to Iraq? He was holding terrorist training camp in Iraq and had contact with Iraqi intelligence . The liberal "theory" that Saddam had no ties to terrorists , is also full of holes , - they are blowing themselves out of the water with their new accusations that Bush missed Zarqawi in 2002-which puts Zarqawi in Iraq BEFORE the invasion in 2003-so-unwittingly the libs justified going into Iraq in 2003-because Saddam did have terrorist ties.

If you had followed recent history you would know that Al Zacarwi affiliated with Al Quieda after the invasion of Iraq. He was a Jordan native that came in for the insurgency. In other words Bush created the Iraqi branch of Al Quieda. There was no Al Quieda before the unlawful invasion of Iraq.

There is definitely a connection between al quieda and saddam. Baghdad was a safehaven before the war for osama binladen before he moved into afghanistan, plus zarqawi was hospitalized in baghdad where he had his leg amputated. Also a high ranking al quieda official was assasinated by saddam after he pissed him off for personal reasons, not idealogical one's. Although saddam and osama did not see eye to eye does not mean there wasnt a link. Even though osama doesnt like saudi arabia and the royal family,he still takes the money some of the royal family offers him.

Do you mean a connection between the pre-war Iraqi government and Al-qaida? What is it? I'd like to see that proof of a connection.

Well there is _now_. Saddam was against Al-Qaeda and did a much better job of keeping them down than we're doing.

Of course there's a connection. Al Qaeda is in almost every industrialized country in the world, if not EVERY one of them...

You forgot to tell us the connection. Maybe because it borders the countries that train terrorists.
