I don't mean to be petty, I bend over backwards to make sure that he and the child are able to have a GOOD relationship. The child in question in VERY active and I drive them all over for their sports, band, and other activities, which he has no time for... Anyway I would just like some time for laundry and such. Not being petty.

Unless this is stipulated in a parenting time order at the time of the award of custody then it falls on the individual parents to work out these arrangements and associated costs.

That all depends on what the divorce papers say, or what the party's agree upon. Some times its the father that goes both ways. And other times the driving is split. If you have nothing in writing that states who does what driving and you can't get the other parent to help out. Then I suggest you make an appointment with the friend of the court and get some thing in writing.

Meet each week end in the middle. I also suggest youlook at the divorce paperwork it should say in there.
But why make a big deal of it? I realize the prices of gas are high that is why I suggest meeting some where in the middle.
Best of luck to you

i GUESS THE FATHER SUPPOSE TO PICK THEM UP AT THE MOTHERS HOME IN OTHER CASES PARENTS MEET IN THE MIDDLE TO GET KIDS, AND YES THATS WHAT MY BROTHER DOES HE HAS TO PICK THEM UP..... I REALLY DONT BELIEVE THAT THERE IS ANY LAW UNLESS IT WAS PUT IN THE DIVORCE SETTLEMENT.

I am not sure ... I think it is the father that does it if he has visitation and if it is the mom's time then she does it.

well it should be split, if your taking the child, then he should bring him home...if he's picking him up..you go get him...to make it all totally fair.
