check to see that the compressor in the out door unit is working??

I didn*t know attic fans are supposed to "cool" like an air conditioner does. However, by closing the whole house up and opening just a window here and there a few inches it will bring in outside air. Always open the windown on the oppitside of the sun.We very seldom use our A/C except on very humid days.
Our attic fan always keeps the house cool.

If the air coming directly out of the fan area of the unit is not quite cold after a few minutes of running, then the coolant/refrigerant has probably leaked out of the system and it will need to be repaired and recharged.

Generally means the Compressor has to be recharged
