I agree with one of the other answerers.... build your own trip. Package deals can be great, but can be costly too. Search flight search engines like cheaptickets.com or hotwire.com to find a good flight. Jet Blue has great prices, but be prepared to fly on a red eye. As for accomodations... the sky is the limit. If you're into the Disney experience, The Disney All Star Resorts are their budget hotels. You still get the Disney feel and service, but much cheaper than their permiere hotels. If a Disney vacation is something you'd like to try for, please visit my Disney vacation planning service blog:

If Disney is not what you had in mind, check out hotels.com or the travel channel's website to find cheap hotels anywhere in florida that you might want to visit.
And when traveling once you've landed, always get Mears ticket as opposed to a taxi--MUCH cheaper. Visit Mears at: http://www.mearstransportation.com/
Have a great trip!

I found that the best way to do it is to build your own, ie search for cheap flight and car hire deals. and when there just stop where and when you like there are plenty of nice cheap motels.
I did it , i drove from Washington down to Florida and alone and had a great time.
This way gives you the freedom to do, eat, sleep when and where you like

I agree with the build your own. We've been building our own for the last 7 years, cheapest way to go. From airlines, to car rentals and Disney Hotels, we build our own each year.
