Why all the debate?
Are none of you aware that no less a person than the current governor of California was once pregnant? I saw it myself at the local Multiplex...
I saw a previous governor of California at the cinema years ago - who then went on to become president. Then a few years later, it was his co-stars turn!

Hm, not yet. Yes, the embryo development sac called the uterus can be transplanted into a man successfully (not in US). I believe with a little Luteinizing Hormone, the uterus can carry a baby. The difficulty would lie in the nutrient transferring placenta. But after all that headache is sorted out, the male body would have trouble as it lacks space to grow a full sized baby, additionally Cesarean sea-section would have to be carried out (obviously).

But I'm not sure how you could get 23 chromosomes from each daddy and form a normal non-ploidy child. Also, there would probably be problems like sterility and other genetic ailments. But theoretically it can be done. Some day, probably within 40 years.

actually, it is possible for two men to biologically have a baby. It would have to be a situation where one of them got messed up chromosomes when one of them was fertilized and ended up with something like XXXY chromosomes instead of XY, those extra X's could lead to the development of ovaries inside the guy. Even though there might not be the appropriate other reproductive female parts for having a baby, doctors could take an egg out and do a surrogate mother thing or test tube baby.

No. Two men cannot produce a baby together biologically that has half the genetic information from each parent. However, they can hire a surrogate mother, or in some countries in Europe, and certain states in the USA they can legally adopt children to raise.

Not yet, but if someone was to fund a project it is in theory possible with a lot of surgery and hormones.

Birth is not possible and delivery could only be done through a ceasarian section.

Oh, and there is no operation called an adodictomy, or what ever the previous answer said. That term came from a joke after the first male to female sex change, that a female to male sex change would be called an add-a-dick-to-me. -tomy on the end of a surgical procedure means to remove such as appenectomy (cut out appendix), vasectomy (cut the vas (sperm duct)).

As some of you already know, scientists managed to make eggs out of male embryonic stem cells a few weeks ago. Following this step towards male reproductive independance, here is an explanation of the whole process to enabling two men to have a baby who is genetically theirs. Note that a donor is required for the first egg used to cloning the man willing to obtain an egg of his own, but once one woman has given an egg, then theorically no more women are needed for every man interested in the experiment, as scientists then have at disposal a virtual infinite supply of eggs thanks to embryonic male stem cells

You need female equipment to do that. You need an egg that has half chromosomes to meet with a sperm. Talk of making 'eggs' from males in my opinion starts to teeter on the bizarre and Frankenstein and it would never really work anyway, how many babies will have to die trying to perfect THAT unnecessary scientific feat and for what?

Not with today's technology. One of them could be cloned and have the baby raised in a surrogate mother. Maybe someday we''ll have the technology to mix two guys' genes to create a unique baby for them.

obviously they can't make a baby together, but they can raise one. I know a few gay couples who are raising children. some adopted, and some found a member of the oposite sex to make them with. Depending on where you live it can be difficult to adopt. In very republican (bible thumping) areas there is very strong oposition to homosexuality in general, so two men adopting a child is more than frowned upon it is pretty much impossible. but in more liberal areas like my home of seattle, it is accepted.

yes theoretically its possible. It has been done with two females but the offspring was not viable. Your could theoretically place genetic material from a donated egg remove that genetic material, implant the desired genetic material from one father, then let that be fertilized by the second male's sperm.then have a serogate mother bring the child to term....complicated and highly unlikely..but def possible

Yes, absolutely. But they would have to adopt it. Only the female of the species is equipped to carry and deliver a baby. Maybe it is time for you to have a serious talk about the birds and bees with your Mom and Dad.
