I haven't had the chance to watch this film yet but would like to know what the general verdict is on it.

It's great. I too would recommend it.. A fantastic view of township life, not as misery and death, but as life... Fantastic actors, great soundtrack and overall a very smartly executed piece. It well deserved the oscar.9.5/10

i really liked it. it had that simplicity and beauty that you often find in foreign films. i'd definately recommend it: 8/10
