The tattoo artist should give you some lotion with vitamins A and D to apply afterward. You can also purchase this lotion at a drugstore. It is also a good idea to clean the area with antibacterial soap to avoid infection.
Also NO tanning beds on a new tattoo!

keep your tatoo moisturized at all times. is is better to use tatoo goo or this stuff called h2ocean tatoo lotion and if you have piercings there is stuff to clean it called h2ocean piercing care which is purified salt water

If you have just had it done you need to put some cream like Nivea on it for like 4-5 days and don't show it to sun during this time.After that you don't have to do anything about it.Only just try not to get it scratched or cut that part of your body.
