Some women do have bleeding around the time of the first missed period when they are pregnant. It is *not* however possible to suddenly get pregnant in the middle of your period.

If you got pregnant and this was *not* a period, you will definitely be able to get an accurate pregnancy test. Good luck!!

You may be experiencing implantation bleeding.

Implantation bleeding usually occurs before a woman's period is due, is lighter and doesn't last as long as a normal period. It occurs when the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall causing a small amount of the lining to be shed, instead of the entire lining. Many women do mistake implantation bleeding for a period.

Some pregnancy tests claim to be able to detect if a woman is pregnant 5 days before an expected period. As every woman is different, and we all produce the pregnancy hormone hCG at a different rate, some have to wait until their period is due, or even a few days afterwards to get a positive result.

When testing before your period is due, it is advised to test with your first morning urine because the level of hCG is more concentrated then.

I'm including the link to a trying to conceive forum that I think you might find useful. It's still starting up, but I think you'll still be able to get some good information there!

Just so you know that your body is ALWAYS changing and you can just be going through one of those changes.

If you are wanting to be pregnant, I think you should try to get at least 3 "early" response tests and every 3 days take the test. If the last comes up negative then see your doctor.

Take a home pregnancy test. You could still have a period and be pregnant. It happened to me.

You should try the pregnancy test. It might not be too early, and then you will know.
